Better coffee, better prices.
Australia has 300+ specialty coffee roasters — all brilliant, all different, all running deals at different times. We track them so you don't have to. No supermarket brands, no gimmicks. Just genuine deals on quality beans from independent roasters, delivered to your inbox every Friday.
How it works
We monitor the roasters
Every week, we check 300+ Australian specialty coffee roasters for new deals, sales, and subscription offers. We look at newsletters, websites, and social channels — so you get one source of truth instead of 300 emails.
We compare the prices
The Bean-o-Metre indexes every roaster's pricing against the market. You can see at a glance whether a roaster is Great Value, Market Rate, or Premium — so you know whether a “sale” is actually a good deal.
You buy direct
Click through to buy direct from the roaster at the deal price. We never sell coffee, hold stock, or get in the way. You're always buying from the roaster themselves.
The Bean-o-Metre
How their prices compare to 300+ Australian roasters.
We normalise every roaster's coffee prices to a per-kilogram basis, then compare them to the market average across all specialty roasters in our database. The result is a simple tier that tells you whether you're getting a good deal.
Priced below the market average. These roasters offer genuinely good value — not necessarily “cheap,” but priced well below what most specialty roasters charge. When you see Great Value next to an award badge, that's the sweet spot.
Priced within 10% of the market average. No surprises — this is what most specialty roasters charge. Fair pricing for quality beans.
Higher-end pricing — often the top specialty names or micro-lot specialists. Premium isn't a criticism. These are typically roasters with competition-winning coffees, rare lots, or exceptional sourcing relationships. You're paying for quality.
The methodology
- We convert all prices to a per-kilogram basis (a 250g bag at $16 = $64/kg)
- We calculate separate averages for blends, single origins, and decaf
- We compare each roaster's prices against the category average
- We assign a tier based on how they compare
The raw index numbers stay behind the curtain — you just see the tier and the percentage. We use the average across specialty roasters only. No supermarket brands are included.
Awards
We track awards from the Golden Bean Awards — the world's largest coffee roasting competition. Roasters earn badges based on their medal results:
When you see an award badge next to a Great Value tier, you're looking at competition-winning coffee priced below market average. That's the sweet spot.
